Genetic profiling of tumours for tailored cancer care
Ground Floor, Shropshire House , 1 Capper Street, London , WC1E 6JAAbout Sarah Cannon Molecular Diagnostics
Sarah Cannon Molecular Diagnostics is a pioneering research laboratory helping patients with cancer to find the right treatment, therapy or clinical trial. The genetic characteristics of a tumour can be different from one patient to the next. By examining the cancer at a genetic level, we can predict how the disease might progress and tailor treatment accordingly.
We work with world-leading cancer researchers under the leadership of Dr Phil Bennett to investigate genetic variants in solid tumours using next generation sequencing (NGS). NGS allows us to examine multiple genes within a tumour to see which mutations might be driving the cancer.
Our laboratory offers tests to help determine which treatments or therapies might be most effective, based on genetic information from your tumour.
Our clinical expertise
We offer testing for a range of common cancers including lung, breast and colorectal cancer as well as melanoma.
Results can be used after initial diagnosis to identify the best treatment sooner. If your cancer has progressed, they can be used to explore a wider range of options and clinical trials.
